Outdoor furniture in different materials

Depending on the intended use, different materials make for better furniture. Here’s a rundown of the various materials used in outdoor furniture.

  • Rattan garden furniture

Rattan is a thin cane that grows in the damp jungles of Africa, Malaysia, and the Philippines around more giant trees. The material can be intertwined into many different patterns when cut into thin strips, and the stronger inner core can be worked into wicker. For centuries, the material has been used to create woven rattan furniture using this technique.
Rattan is a long-lasting and durable material. It can also be stained or painted, allowing it to be customized in various colours and styles. Choose a style from our selection, or paint, stain, or treat yourself to a neutral colour. You can ensure that your rattan garden furniture fits your garden, balcony, or conservatory this way.

  • Wooden outdoor furniture

Outdoor furniture’s characteristics are influenced by the type of wood used. Outdoor furniture, for example, is frequently made of eucalyptus and acacia, which are both durable and weather-resistant.
Pre-treatment with several layers of semi-transparent wood stain makes our wood furniture even more durable. This can help them live longer.
After each season, treat your wooden outdoor furniture with VRDA wood stain to ensure it remains in good condition (sold separately, find it among our product care ). Refinishing your furniture will keep it looking new for years.

  • Synthetic plastic, glass and metal outdoor furniture

Plastic, metal, and glass are examples of synthetic materials that do not have the same natural appearance as rattan or wood. They do, however, have other advantages. This furniture is available in almost any colour, ranging from a subtle and elegant grey to a bold red. Also, most synthetic materials don’t require any maintenance; simply keep them clean enough to avoid becoming infected by mould.

When looking for the best outdoor chairs, what factors should you consider?

Paris outdoor chairs provide comfort; it’s a good idea to invest in a comfortable option, such as one that includes cushioning or, at the very least, allows you to add one. You’ll be sitting in this chair for a long time, and the last thing you’ll want is any additional aches and pains, so some extra support can’t hurt.

What is the best material for outdoor furniture?

Many of the same qualities you value in indoor tables, chairs, and sofas will likely be found in outdoor tables, chairs, and sofas – durability, comfort, and style and, of course, price. Patio furniture, on the other hand, must withstand exposure to the elements. While there is no such thing as 100% weatherproof patio furniture, there are significant differences in the materials used.
It’s critical to understand the advantages and disadvantages of various material options before deciding. Assess how well each fits your personal preferences and priorities, as well as the needs of your residential or commercial environment. Because each situation is different, choosing the “best” material for outdoor patio furniture requires matching your specific requirements with the inherent qualities of each substance. No wonder Paris outdoor chairs are the best choice, with their powder-coated aluminium frame and hand-painted bamboo design finish for a natural look but with the rust-proof and long-lasting properties that only aluminium can provide.
