Cement & Concrete Table Tops FAQs

What about seating (chairs)?

The Javi chair is made for outdoor seating and is a great match with our cement table tops. For a dining table setup, you might want to try the rectangle Pietra table top with replica Tolix chairs, a classic.

Can the cement table tops be used outdoors?

Yes, the whole Pietra and Ricardo range of table tops can be used outdoors.
Pietra Range is designed specifically for all weather and is by far the best option. The glass fibre reinforced cement has been developed specifically to withstand the wide ranges of weather variation found across Australia. Finished in UV resistant paint that does not need sealing before use, it is stain resistant. Will not rust, mould or stain.

Are the concrete table tops heavy?

These Pietra table tops consist of layers of cement and glass fibre, with a 5mm top layer of cement. Because GRC does not use stone or as much sand as a solid concrete table top it is much lighter. The GRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced) Cement is a high impact strength material with a strength-to-weight ratio superior to most other materials.

How do I clean the Pietra cement table top?

The Pietra cement table tops (both oak and cement effect) have been sealed with a thick water-based paint. However, care should be taken to ensure the longevity of the product. Chairforce recommends you wipe any spills promptly and clean with a damp cloth or mild soapy water on a regular basis.
If using products with antibacterial or disinfectant agents, always test on an inconspicuous area of the table first to ensure your cleaner is compatible with the finish. Use clean water, rinse and dry immediately.
We recommend you stack chairs & stools to the side of your room when cleaning, instead of on table tops as this can reduce the life of your table top.
